ATD Fourth World is part of a worldwide, child-led network called Tapori. Its motto is: “We want all children to have the same chances”.Around the world, children are experiencing lockdown and are cut off from their friends. This is why ATD Ireland is inviting children in Ireland to create Messenger Birds describing their experiences and their hopes for the future. 17 October – Dublin Event

As always on the 17th of October, ATD alongside the 17 October committee launched our annual event at the Human Rights and Poverty Stone, Dublin, to mark the UN International Eradication of Poverty Day. This years chosen international theme was “Acting together to empower children, their families and communities to end poverty”. Cycle for SDG’s

A fantastic adventure organised by ATD Quart Monde! 475km from Dublin to Paris over 6 days as part of the international week of action and awareness for the Sustainable Development Goals (#Act4SDGs). A team of eight Irish cyclists took the boat from Dublin Port to Cherbourg and were joined by a number of French cyclists, including some local authorities, along the way. New Information Plaque, Human Rights and Poverty Stone, Dublin, Ireland

The National 17 October Committee is pleased to announce the installation of a new information plaque at the Human Rights and Poverty Stone, Customs House Quay, Dublin to mark the International United Nations Day for the Eradication of Poverty every 17 October. The Committee wishes to acknowledge the support of the Department of Rural and Community Development, the Dublin City Local Community Development Committee, Dublin City Council and Cast Ltd.
