Ireland marked the 2018 UN End Poverty Day

In October 2018, over 15 events were organised around Ireland to mark the 2018 UN End Poverty Day. The 2018 observance marked the 25th anniversary of the observance of the UN Day since its recognition by the UN in December 1992. In Dublin it marked the 10th anniversary of the unveiling of the End Poverty Day Stone next to the Famine Statues. Voices for Dignity – Sing along with ATD on the 2018 End Poverty Day

Download Voices for Dignity – the book Hard copies can be ordered for €15 (covering print and postage for Ireland) via e-mail committee@17october.ie Watch Voices for Dignity – the video “Voices for Dignity” is an event, a book and also a 12 minutes video including images of the annual community gathering at the Dublin Human Rights and Poverty Stone unveiled on the 17 October 2008 on UN End Poverty Day. The video was prepared by a volunteer of ATD Ireland, Coraline Guyot, in spring 2018 ahead of the 10th anniversary of the unveiling of the Dublin Stone.
